Bruce initiated this event to raise awareness of disability needs. The event had high visibility by the Saturday Farmers Market downtown. He arranged for a herd of wheelchairs to be made available for all to try. He created a short route that was an "obstacle course," so that able-bodied people could see how hard it was to navigate the intersections, the "porta-potty," the sidewalks, the building doors and inside ramps, the market crowds and booths . . . Vendors of relevant equipment and providers of services had booths offering displays and information. Two successive mayors of the city checked out chairs and struggled through the obstacle course.
